Those clever whatsits over a Ayokay Creative are at it again!
In just 2 short days, they’ve created Real or Satire which aims to be another line of defense against the tragedy that hits our lives when a good Share goes horribly, horribly wrong.
Real or Satire will likely be many people’s first stop — next to Snopes, of course — when they come across a story that just doesn’t feel . . . quite . . . right.
Here’s how it works:
- Go to Real or Satire;
- Copy the URL of the news article (or just the website whence it came);
The guys at Ayokay have already amassed a wealth of satirical sites; however, if a particular website isn’t in the database, you can submit it to Ayokay from the Real or Satire submit page. The submitted site will be researched, verified, and included for future searches.
This something that could def benefit many of us, as we navigate the often murky depths that is The Internet. While it will take awhile to feed every satirical/spoof site into Real or Satire — especially since more and more pop up regularly — there may yet be a time when we can visit our Facebook Newsfeed or our Google Plus (who?) Circles without being hoodwinked by some fake news that you wish would actually happen (e.g., Blake Griffin slapping Justin Bieber in a Starbucks!).
